Konnyaku
(Bunkyo wad, Tokyo on Jan. 17)
Konnyaku laid in front of the statue of Enma. Since the sound of konnyaku is similar to the word whose meaning is pain or misfortune, people wish Enma would take over their pain or misfortune by offering konnyaku. Well, konnyaku is a food made from devil's tongue which has a texture of slightly hard jelly and not much taste but a lot of dietary fiber and calcium. And it is a low-calorie food and works on controling cholesterol level or preventing diabetes.
