PACHINKO PACHISLO INDUSTRIAL FAIR 2000

The pachinko(a pinball game)and pachislo fair was held on both Feb.23 and 24, in Chiba-shi, Chiba-ken. The nearly 750 new machines were introduced there. The pachinko, pachislo(an abbreviation of pachinkoslot) are game machines, an amusement district called the pachinko parlor or pachinko hall, playing pachinko or pachislo, are everywhere. Though the proceeds have decreased to two-thirds comparing with peak hours in 1995, the pachinko and pachislo industries are still large-scale of sales such as 20.96 trillion yen, and participating population is 20.3 million in 1998.
