On Apr.1 the station of the Saitama New Urban Center started an operation ahead of the city opening on May 5. The new city center extends into the three cities in Saitama pre. covering 47.4 ha. : The city of Urawa- the political center of the prefecture, the city of Omiya-the economic center, and the city of Yono.
