Shiohigari, picking asari clams and shellfishes on the shore at low tide, is one of sceneries in spring, Japan. First of all, Chiba-ken remind us as a popular picking place in the metropolitan area, but these pictures were taken at"The Marine Park" in Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa-ken. "The Marine Park" is the only place we can enjoy shell-gathering or bathing in the sea in a large city, Yokohama. Also Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, providing an aquarium or amusement park, is so close that people can drop at there on the way to "Shiohigari".
