The "Osorezan", Catch A Glimpse Of The Next World
(May 8, Mutsu-shi, Aomori-ken)

There is a temple called the Osorezan in the mountain at the center of the Shimokita Peninsula, Aomori-ken. The temple, located close to the Lake Uzori, a crater lake, is a wasteland and smells sulfureous, so that it is compared to hell. It is said that the soul of a dead person goes to the Osorezan in this district.
