Dokudami, Bad-smelling but an useful plant

Dokudami is perennial, 20`30cm tall and gregarious plants growing everywhere in the shade. It is pretty to look at but smells strongly bad. The name "Dokudami" sounding harsh, is derived from its quality to detoxify or seemed to be poisonous plants because of stinking. Dokudami is also called "Juyaku" because it is effective as same as ten kinds of medicine or it means an important medicine. If you drink the boiled one it have an effect on constipation and it is used for a diuretic. It is general to drink blending Dokudami and green tea or other plants, as it is not good taste even dried. Dokudami is used for bathing, cosmetics or other various ways.
