The photograph shows a bust of the doctor in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo.
The exact place of Omori mounds became unknown because there's no map of them.
The area where the mounds existed now forms the boundary between Shinagawa Ward and Ota Ward but they say there's a high possibility the mounds were located in Shinagawa Ward.
