Yatsu Tideland

Yatsu Tideland is a small tidal flat on 40 hectares in a residential area near Tokyo.
The workings of nature are maintained by two connecting watercourses from Tokyo Bay.
As waterside birds like snipes or plovers can be seen nearby, many people visit to watch them.
In 1988, this area was designated as a bird sanctuary, and was also registered by the Ramsar Convention in 1993.
Around "The Narashino City Yatsu-Tideland Natural Obsevatory Center" an urban-style park was built.
