The first instant ramen was brought out.

　Just 40 years ago, on Aug 28th in 1958, the first instant ramen, named "chicken ramen" (noodles tasted of chicken soup) was brought out in the world by Nissin Food Products co., LTD. As a result instant ramen appeared, we could eat a ramen at home that we could have had only at a restaurant before.
　 By frying noodles, a lot of small holes are made on its surface, which keep noodles dry and can be preserved. If you pour the boiling water into the cup, the noodles quickly absorb the hot water through those holes and will be ready to eat. This is the process of cooking an instant ramen. (We have a different type of instant ramen at present.)
