 You can hear the song that floated in the fair. Nov. 10 is the day when the first Torinoichi was held this year.
 Torinoichi is held in each shrine all over Japan and this Ootori shrine is most well-known.There is a record which shows a good turnout already between 1750 and 1760.

 At Torinoichi, there are dozens of make-shift stalls which sell kumade-bamboo rakes- decorated with various ornaments like in the photo.
 Kumade is a tool with many curved nails at the top of its long handle and was used to rake grains and fallen leaves. The ones sold at Torinoichi is to rake in fortune for the next year.
