@Kamakura is an ancient capital with nearly 800-year history, located in Kanagawa pre. which is bounded on Tokyo.

@A powerful samurai, Minamoto-no-Yoritomo was designated as the chief of the expenditionary army from the Emperor in 1192 and founfef the military government in Kamakura. He was succeeded by his two sons but both of them were killed to end the lineage of Minamoto-no-Yoritomo.
@Afterward his wife's familiy, Hojo-shi ruled Kamakura shogunate until it was ruined in 1333. Then the political center was moved to Kyoto again.
