Closing Sale Was Flourishing
(Chuo-ku, Nihonbashi, Tokyo)
As the Nihonbashi branch of Tokyu Department Store Co., Ltd has been in the red, it is going to be closed at the end of January.
The closing sale has begun since January 2. As the result, about 180,000 people came to the store on Jan.2 and Jan.3 and the sales figures of two days was about 1.3 billion yen.
It is synical that the numbers of people were 4 or 5 times as many as usual and proceeds was 6.5 times as much as previous year.
