A Road Safety Campaign In Spring
(May 12, Mitaka-shi, Tokyo)

There has been "a Road Safety Campaign" from May 11 to May 20 all over the Japan. The car and the motorbike which had a collision at the intersection in the city have been put on display in front of some police office in Mitaka-shi Tokyo. National Police Agency sets the goal to decrease the number of fatalities caused by a traffic accident at the level of 8,000. Its number of last year was 9,211 and it has been in under 10,000 since 1996. In Japan, the fatalities caused by a traffic accident mean a person who died within 24 hours after the accident.
