Musashimaru has promoted to Yokozuna on May 26 and dedicated a "Dohyo-iri" (the ceremony of entering the ring) to the Meiji Shrine on May 29. Musashimaru, 28 years old, from Hawaii, acquired the Japanese nationality in 1996. He is the 2nd Yokozuna as a Non-Japanese sumou wrestler next to Akebono. There are four "Yokozuna"s now, because of Musashimaru's promotion.
