The Lake Mashu, The Clearest Lake In The World

The Lake Mashu, located in the eastern part of Hokkaido,is said beautifull and the clearest lake in the world. The Lake Mashu is 20km around, an oval shaped crater lake and covers an area of 19.6 square meters. The deepest part of the lake is 211.5m. The surface of a lake is 351m high above sea level and surrounding by 500-700m high cliffs. The mountain in the picture is called the Mashudake and the altitude is 858m. The part of 30m high from the summit, it is actualy the 240m high volcano, sticking out from the lake, looks like a small island floating in the lake.
