All 48 movie posters of "Otoko wa tsuraiyo" are displayed at the platform of Shibamata Station. The first "Otoko wa tsuraiyo" was released in 1969 and continued untill Mr.Atsumi died. The story of the movie is very simple. Mr.Tora, a stallkeeper moves from place to place all over Japan, is good-natured and obliging but a short temper and a trouble maker. "Otoko wa tsuraiyo" is such a movie that described the story happened while traveling or dropped in Shibamata unexpectedly. The bronze statue is the figure that Mr.Tora is starting on a journey and
looked back when his sister called his name.
