The Zoorasia
(Oct.25, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa-Ken)

The Yokohama Municipal Zoo, an informal name "Zoorasia" is located in the northwestern part of Yokohama, Kanagawa-ken and opened on this April 24. Though about 60 kinds of animals are living in the 29 ha. site now, about 150 species of animals will live in 53 ha. in the future. More than 1 million people visited the zoo less than four months since it has opened. It is the first time that the Okapi in the picture came to Japan.
